Final Salute

This past weekend and Monday, was the wake and funeral of my Cousin Philip, after battling cancer.  At age 66, he was a retired police captian of the Rahway, NJ, Police Department, loving husband, father of two sons, and grandfather. His son, Anthony, has followed in his footsteps, and is now a police officer. The Honor Guard gave my cousin such honor and tradition, which moved everyone. They gave him one last salute - one by one-- each man, as well as his son. With grace and honor, they saluted my cousin. Philip touched many lives with his humor and down-to-earth personality. People just loved him for his sincere and genuine heart. Philip always said that the most important thing in life is family. He lived that life, and before he died of cancer, he said he had no regrets. He is with the Lord now, in his Eternal home. Thank you, Philip, for blessing our lives. You will be missed...
