Hi, everyone! Here in the Northeast, we have been bombarded with snowstorms, ice, and freezing rain. Yet, I'm looking forward to the year ahead, for my concerts, worship services, and recording. This Monday, I go back into the studio to finish editing and mixing my Count Basie Christmas concerts. I love being in the studio! It's similar to the feeling you have when you go to a movie. You can "get away from it all", and it's just you, the people you are with, and the movie screen. The focus is on the movie, and the cares of the world are put on hold. In the recording studio, the experience is similar. I am shut off from the world for a while, and I can focus on my music. I've had times of immense joy listening to a song, a word, or a phrase. I've also had moments of a "meltdown" - a note, chord, or song, touched my heart so deeply, I just broke down and cried. Even there, I can grow closer to God, in that space and time. Times are still hard for many people, and I pray that my music ministry can help others. Thank you all, for your continued prayers and support... Nancy
